Our client, the successful and growing litigation practice of a progressive midsized firm, is seeking to add an Associate to its Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. The ideal candidate will have five to seven years of substantive commercial litigation experience in an active Big Law or Am Law 200 setting. The Commercial Litigation Associate will have an opportunity to work alongside highly sought after commercial litigators on sophisticated disputes for mid to large market clients.
\n \nThe Associate will have the opportunity to handle smaller matters from end to end while taking meaningful responsibility on larger cases, guiding and supervising junior associates. The practice handles a broad range of complex commercial litigation, including business and contract disputes, securities and financial services litigation, private equity and investment related matters, restrictive covenant and business breakup disputes, internal and regulatory investigations, and other significant matters in state and federal courts and arbitration.
\n \nThe Associate must have superior writing and analytical skills, along with substantive experience in discovery, depositions, motion practice and case management. New York Bar admission is required. Compensation is $230K to $255K, plus an hours based bonus and top tier benefits package. A highly effective communicator with clients who exercises sound judgment and is ready to take increasing ownership of matters will be particularly well suited for this role.
